Vulture on the River

This picture was taken at the Amazon Ecopark in Brazil. The lodge here offers a few day trips that you can go do, as well as jungle walks led by a guide. In our experience, the ecopark also had a plethora of wildlife in the surrounding areas. Of course with nature there’s no guarantee that you’ll see something, but we had great luck here. We saw a few different varieties of monkeys, including the endangered Pied Tamarin, as well as two sloths, and a ton of birds including this really cool vulture. The Amazon is not the easiest place to spot animals, a lot of areas have such dense forest that it becomes difficult to see things, but the wide variety of bird life that can be spotted here is absolutely astonishing. If you’re up for the challenge of spotting some very cool wildlife this is a great area to visit!

Elephants!

This picture was taken outside of Luang Prabang in Laos. Luang Prabang has some really nice stuff to offer tourists; great shopping, good food, nice temples, and some excursions. We went on this excursion where we rode elephants and got to see an amazing waterfall, where we went swimming. The elephant riding was lots of fun, and there are different deals you can work out. Some you only ride for an hour, some are all day training sessions with elephants where they actually go in the water and bathe. Whatever your preference you should be able to find a place and set up a day trip on the main road area in Luang Prabang. This elephant was a baby, so obviously we were riding a much bigger one, but this little guy was really cute, and curious!

Chinatown

Taken in a small shop in Chinatown in Los Angeles. I’d recommend a visit to Chinatown if you are in the L.A. area, it’s a lot of fun; and if you go in the mornings you can get dim sum, which is amazingly delicious. After you can go around looking in the little shops or grab a boba tea. Whatever you do Chinatown is always a nice little day trip for a family!
