Frozen in Time

A picture of one of the casts made by early archaeologists at Pompeii Scavi in Italy. Let me reiterate for anyone who hasn’t looked on this blog before; I am a HUGE archaeology dork. So, if you are like me, or you just like awesomeness in general I would highly recommend a trip to these ruins as well as some of the smaller sites that are near by. Pompeii is really big, but i’d suggest going in every room you have access to; you never know what awesome things might be hiding behind those walls.

Also, if you are in the area see Herculaneum, it's a little smaller, bur more ornate and a lot less crowded.
