These pictures were taken at the amazingly beautiful Tat Kuang Si Waterfall, just outside Luang prabang, Laos. The waterfalls are absolutely gorgeous, and, you can swim in any of the pools that are marked for it (there are signs to tell you which pools you can or cannot swim in). The you can find a place in town to set up a visit here, and often the trips are a joint package with some of the other sight seeing stuff in the area. Just outside of the waterfalls there is an area where you can see asiatic black bears (in captivity); this area is a rescue center through Free the Bears. The group rescues bears that were captured for use in traditional medicine. The area is really cool, and the waterfalls are just stunning. Absolutely worth a visit!

This series of photos was taken at Malibu  Creek State park in Southern California. If you are visiting LA and you’re in search of some nature this is a great place to come.  It’s not too far outside of the city (the drive really depends on traffic) and the park is pretty close to the beach. There are lots of paths here, there are also places for fishing, horseback riding, and camping. The park is also just a really nice place to go and hangout with your family for the day, and it’s a good little get away from the city!

Another picture of beautiful Kenya, taken while on safari in Samburu National Park. The tour company we use is Steenbok, and they’re really wonderful. We’ve been on safari in Kenya twice and we used them both times, and both trips were fantastic. No matter what you are looking at in Kenya, the scenery is always, always beautiful. I don’t think i’ve ever been to a country with such diversity, in terms of landscape (or maybe I just haven’t been exposed to it the way I have here) but i’m in love with Kenya and all of it’s natural beauty. If you have the opportunity to go, I would strongly recommend exploring this amazing country.

This is our beautiful little tent cabin in Kibale, Uganda. We stayed at the Primate Lodge, which was absolutely fantastic. When we weren’t out trekking we were relaxing here; on the porch drinking tea, reading, and just enjoying the jungle view. When we were trekking we saw SO much; lots of beautiful natural scenery, birds, and tons of different primates, including chimps. This place was great, and Kibale is an AMAZING place to visit. If you have the opportunity, absolutely go to Kibale, it’s an incredible experience. Also, if you are in Uganda go visit the Impenetrable Forest to see the Gorillas. We had a better viewing of the gorillas, just because they weren’t moving as much as the chimps, but both are wonderful!!!!!

This is a Yellow Necked Spurfowl, which are are native to Kenya, and can be seen in many of the parks in Kenya. I think these birds are really pretty, and I like seeing all the different birdlife in Kenya. This was taken in Buffalo Springs National Reserve, which is a really nice park, located really close to Shaba National park. You can visit both in one day; do a morning game drive in one park and an afternoon game drive in the other.
