Cityscape

This picture was taken from one of the many bridges in Portland, Oregon. Portland is a cool city with a lot to offer, it’s not too big, or too fast paced, and it’s in pretty close proximity to some very cool natural areas. The city is nice to just walk or drive around, and it’s got some very cool and quirky places to visit. If you’re planning a visit to Portland make sure Voodoo doughnuts and Powell’s City of Books are both places on your list of sites to visit!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This is a photograph of Osorno Volcano, located in Los Lagos (the lakes district) of Chile. Chile is a beautiful country with a LOT of really interesting and diverse natural beauty to offer tourists. This is one of the more famous locations associated with Chile’s natural beauty, and it’s easy to see why. This imposing Volcano stands at 8,701 feet, or 2,652 Meters, and is part of the Chilean Andes. If you are looking to Visit this area of Chile make sure you have to appropriate attire. It gets COLD here! We  visited a while ago, I think I took this like 6 years ago!  But one of the things I remember very distinctly about the experience, besides how gorgeous it was in this area, is that my family was not prepared for the elevation and the cold climate that comes with it. So just do your research!

Another picture of beautiful Kenya, taken while on safari in Samburu National Park. The tour company we use is Steenbok, and they’re really wonderful. We’ve been on safari in Kenya twice and we used them both times, and both trips were fantastic. No matter what you are looking at in Kenya, the scenery is always, always beautiful. I don’t think i’ve ever been to a country with such diversity, in terms of landscape (or maybe I just haven’t been exposed to it the way I have here) but i’m in love with Kenya and all of it’s natural beauty. If you have the opportunity to go, I would strongly recommend exploring this amazing country.

Up Against the Clouds

This photo was taken in Paris in the Tuileries Gardens. We went on a Sandemens New Paris tour, which really helped us find out way around in the city. The tour is free, but you give the guide tips at the end. Our guide’s name was Adam, he was really funny, and very knowledgeable about Parisian history.

Lago de Atitlán

The landscape at Lake Atitlan is just really beautiful. If you are planning on staying here you can take boat trips from town to town around the shores. I’d recommend staying in Panajachel, it’s got some really nice hotels.

Taken somewhere in Ireland, unfortunately i'm not really sure where. I went in like, 2005 or 2006, so the details of where things were are a little fuzzy. But I do have some advice; if you really want to see Ireland i'd recommend visiting a lot of little towns. We rented a car, stayed at bed and breakfasts, and ate at small pubs and made sandwiches with stuff we bought from grocery stores. It's a good way to see a lot of places and keep prices lower. ALSO, if you are planning a trip you should go to the Blarney stone, it's pretty cool.
