This series of pictures shows some of the many flat baskets that you can see around Luang Prabang, Laos. While the contents of the baskets varied, it looked like it was always food. Dried chili to be ground into pastes, dried sticky rice, and dried Morning Glory. I don’t know exactly why all of these things need to be dried, but I really liked the way the baskets were just set out on the sidewalks. Luang Prabang is a really pretty little town with a lot of interesting things to offer tourists, and with some really fantastic food!

This picture was taken outside of Luang Prabang in Laos. Luang Prabang has some really nice stuff to offer tourists; great shopping, good food, nice temples, and some excursions. We went on this excursion where we rode elephants and got to see an amazing waterfall, where we went swimming. The elephant riding was lots of fun, and there are different deals you can work out. Some you only ride for an hour, some are all day training sessions with elephants where they actually go in the water and bathe. Whatever your preference you should be able to find a place and set up a day trip on the main road area in Luang Prabang. This elephant was a baby, so obviously we were riding a much bigger one, but this little guy was really cute, and curious!

Taken at one of the many beautiful sites that can be find in Sri Lanka. Seriously, if you are big on art, history, archaeology, or architecture and you are in Sri Lanka you should visit as many places as possible, each is uniquely beautiful and has something amazing to offer.

This is a close up photo of a flower in Thailand. The flower is from a Cannonball tree, named so for the cannonball like fruits that it grows (seriously, the fruit is giant). The flowers are uniquely beautiful, as is the rest of the tree.
