This photo was taken in Paris, France. We spent a large part of the day just hanging out on the large grassy lawns in front of the Eiffel Tower. The tower is absolutely beautiful, and it’s never something you get tired of seeing. The area around the tower has a lot of little tourist shops and Crepe and soda Kiosks. It’s a really nice place to just hang out and spend a relaxing afternoon.

These pictures were taken at the Louvre in Paris, France. The Louvre is an extraordinarily famous museum, and part of this fame can be attributed to this painting. This painting is particularly famous not only because of the great artistry, but also because it was stolen by a museum employ, and was missing for 2 years, which earned it even greater notoriety. If you are interested about the painting, how it got to the louvre, or how it was stolen, I suggest you look it up before you go, it’s all really interesting!  As you can see, she gets a LOT of visitors, so if you are looking to get a great view, get to the museum early! No matter when you go, there’s bound to be a crowd in this room, and while the painting is small, she is absolutely worth the wait!

One of the MANY famous pieces housed by the Louvre Museum. This absolutely fantastic museum has SO MUCH to see, enough, in fact, that if you spent only 9 seconds at every piece in the museum you would be in the museum for about 2 1/2 months (that’s without stopping to eat or sleep).  This is a statue of the Goddess Nike, this is also the home of two other incredibly famous ladies; the Mona Lisa and the Venus De Milo. If you are visiting the museum go to the Lion’s Gate entrance; its a MUCH shorter line, trust me, it’s worth the time it takes to find it. It took us less than 10 minutes to purchase our tickets and get into the museum.

This is a close up of one of the must haves of French cuisine. This picture was taken in a little cafe in Paris, it was part of our lunch of interesting french food: Duck, Snails with pesto, and garlicky frog legs. Honestly, I didn’t particularly enjoy the frog legs, but come on, if you’re in Paris, how can you not try it? For the adventurous, i’d recommend the more unusual foods you can find, how often do you get to eat snails or amphibians? Personally, the answer is never, so we figured why not go for it? The snails are pretty good, my sister likened them to chewy mushrooms, which i’d say is a pretty accurate depiction.

Up Against the Clouds

This photo was taken in Paris in the Tuileries Gardens. We went on a Sandemens New Paris tour, which really helped us find out way around in the city. The tour is free, but you give the guide tips at the end. Our guide’s name was Adam, he was really funny, and very knowledgeable about Parisian history.

Night Time at the Eiffel Tower

Taken in Paris. At night time the tower lights up, a beautiful glowing iconic image on the parisian skyline. We went up at night, which I recommend, because the whole city is lit up. Make sure you don’t go too late though, the lift to the top stops selling tickets before 11 (though i’m not sure of the specific time) Another good thing to know; the tickets to climb to the second level (not the top, you need another ticket for that) are cheaper, and the line is usually shorter than the line to take the lift up.

Fly Away

Fly Away

This picture was taken in Paris, around the Tuileries Garden, the statue depicts Mercury riding a Pegasus. Paris is a really beautiful city, you can get a crepe at any of the little street kiosks for cheap, and just walk around! It’s a great way to see the city, and the main attractions of Paris are all within walking distance (though some are a bit far)
